Description

Our high-profile Banbury client has a new requirement for a Finance Manager, who can work flexible hours after a qualifying period:

Main Responsibilities

Day to Day running of the department

Control of Purchase and Sales Ledger
Supplier payment runs in multiple currencies
Manage multiple UK and international bank accounts
Credit control
Reconciling bank statements daily
Customer statements
Credit Checks
Dealing with customer account queries professionally and promptly
Preparing agent commission reports

Management Accounts

Preparation of month end management accounts
Preparation and submission of Quarterly VAT Returns
Submission of data to HMRC
Working closely with company accountants to ensure management accounts are accurate

Exporting/Importing

Controlling duty deferment and postponed duty statements
Import loan control
Managing VAT compliance in Europe with external accountants
Ensuring all export documentation is up to date and fit for purpose, working closely with the warehouse team

Strategy

Identifying processes for improvement and implementing
Working with external financial and business advisors to implement best financial practices
Budgeting and financial planning

Reporting & Analysis

Reporting monthly to the management team on the P&L against annual budget
Identifying any relevant grants and claims
Creating reports requested by the management team and reporting weekly in the management meeting
Closely tracking and reporting on KPIs
Analysis of the management accounts
