We are currently looking for a Procurement Officer on a permanent basis to help support the team in the Marine Procurement category.


This is an integral role within the procurement team and the main purpose of the role is to drive the continued development and implementation of category management and sourcing strategies across the department.


As the primary port of contract for all fleet personnel for vessels identifying opportunities for standardization in specification and vendor selection.

You will also play a key role in leading contract development for new vendors and key existing vendors and work with the procurement team to drive performance


There will also be an opportunity to further your knowledge and to study towards the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) a recognised qualification in procurement.


Location - Dover we are currently working within a hybrid work pattern, with three days in the office and two days from home.

To be considered for this role, you will have or can demonstrate:

  • Strong category management experience
  • Knowledge and experience of the tender processes, execution, and negotiation strategies
  • Ability to work closely with other team members and contribute within a team environment often working under short term pressure.
  • Previous experience within procurement at a similar level
  • Excellent IT skills including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and demonstrable Excel experience
  • Full UK Driving license

It would be advantageous if you have:

  • An understanding of CODA and Marine Software procurement systems
  • Previous experience in Procurement and supply chain
  • Awareness of the Marine/shipping industry.
  • Understanding of the importance of ship safety, security and marine environmental issues.
