Junior Buyer - FMCG

North Acton - London

£35,000 + Benefits


THE ROLE

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with large FMCG suppliers.
  • Negotiate cost prices to achieve company margins.
  • Liaise with the marketing department to generate promotional leaflets for products and maximise advertising revenue for the business.
  • Analysing sales data to forecast future buys which align with company products and brands.
  • Dealing and resolving supplier queries for department.
  • Effectively dealing with any product issue/recall and agreeing terms with supplier to remove unwanted product.
  • Product review to ensure products are line with customer expectations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous buying experience, either as an AB or BAA. Mentoring and development will be provided.
  • University Degree and A-Levels are essential.
  • Commutable to North Acton as would need to be in the office 5 days a week.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
  • Excellent understanding of all MS Office products including Excel
