We have been trusted travel partners to our Marine, Energy and Corporate clients for over 30 years.


The purpose of the Trainee Travel Consultant role is to participate in a comprehensive Clyde training programme which is designed to equip the job holder with the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional travel advice and support to Clyde's customers.

Throughout the programme, the job holder will also work towards achieving an SVQ in Business and Administration Level 6, which will further enhance customer service skills.


The key responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in the comprehensive training programme and demonstrating knowledge at key milestones
  • Completing all required course content and pass assessments to achieve SVQ in Customer Service at SCQF Level
  • Attending training sessions and workshops to improve knowledge and skills related to the travel industry and customer service
  • Providing exceptional customer service to clients, answering questions, addressing concerns, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency while ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard of quality
  • Adapting to a variety of clients and their travel policies, preferences, and expectations
  • Building and maintaining internal and external relationships through daily proactive communication
  • Following company policies and procedures related to data protection, health and safety, and ethical standards
  • Continually seeking out opportunities to improve service and client satisfaction


The Trainee Travel Consultant will engage in training as managed by the Clyde Training & Development team, before moving to working with customers where daily workload will be closely managed by a Customer Experience Lead and Operations Manager.
