This is a fantastic opportunity to join this progressive and dynamic market leading organisation who are seeking a qualified accountant to join their best-in-class finance team.
The role would suit someone recently qualified seeking a step up in responsibility from their current role with responsibility for a small team.
This is a newly created role reporting into the Senior Finance Manager and will be responsible for bridging the gap between finance and operations whilst ensuring consistent, precise and timely accounting procedures are adhered to, ensuring the financial viability and budgetary requirements of the business through effective financial management, reporting and forecasting.
The Finance Business Partner is also key in creating a sense of ownership within the team ensuring a culture or continuous professional development, through actively encouraging, supporting, motivating a small team of direct reports.
Key Responsibilities- Lead timely, accurate and precise reporting of monthly management accounts with commentary & variance analysis
- Ensure consistent, precise and timely accounting procedures are adhered to
- Ensure cost centre profit and loss account for operations are produced and support budget owners in review and management of data.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders
- Play a key active role with annual internal and external auditing
- Management and review of Balance sheet reconciliation
- Support development of business case requests for additional resource and funding
- Data analysis to review and recommend on commercials across the business
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and contribute towards a culture of continuous improvement
- Attending and contributing to management/departmental meetings
- Ensuring all reports produced are accurate, timely and fit for purpose
- Data insights are clear and robust, leading to successful decision making
- Risks are consistently and quickly identified, solved or minimised
- Budget owners are fully supported and partnered with the Finance Team
- Direct reports are fully trained and enabled to do perform their current role
- Added value gained from improvement suggestions and implementations
What we are looking for:
- Qualified ACCA / ACA or CIMA
- Strong communication skills with the ability to business partner
- Accomplished Excel and analytical skills
- Previous experience within a management accounting environment
- Great time management skills and used to working to monthly reporting deadlines
- A progressive mindset and the ability to manage and mentor junior members of the team
- Capacity to maintain exceptional attention to detail whilst managing large sets of data and working to tight deadlines
- Confident and influential communicator, with the ability to and build positive relationships at all levels
- Team orientated the ability to demonstrate resilience and build trust
- Sense of responsibility, integrity and leading by example
