Would suit experienced ops controllers, those studying for their ATPL theory, graduates of an aviation degree or college course, or anyone with the right mindset We provide full training on our flight planning and scheduling systems, and unlike a large Operational Control Centre you will experience all aspects of running an airline from Flight planning, to crew rostering, and schedule analysis.


Despite being a small team we can offer progression into interesting roles, for example, our Operations Controllers have taken on roles leading projects on Security, Brexit, Covid, and one became a First Officer in our Learjet fleet.


Role Purpose:

Zenith Aviation are looking for a full-time Operations Controller based at Biggin Hill Airport.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Within this key position you will be responsible for IFR flight planning in accordance with Zenith Aviation's worldwide AOC, ensuring CFMU / IFPS validation.
  • ATC slot management and flight plan reroutes as applicable.
  • Liaise externally with Aircraft Owners / Principle Clients, Civil Aviation Authorities.
  • Maintain flight crew schedules, ensuring they are compliant with company flight time limitations.
  • Conduct route evaluations and performance check for client / charter trips on behalf of sales team.
  • Working as part of our growing team, you will be required to ensure all operational tasks are fulfilled and ever changing flight plans are communicated effectively with both internal and external clients.

Key Skills and Knowledge:


This position will require you to make critical decisions so it is essential that you have fantastic communication skills, able to remain calm in difficult situations with an ability to prioritise high workload.


Essential Skills:


  • Significant proven operational experience
  • Sound knowledge and understanding on national and international aviation regulations and the effect on day to day operational requirements
  • Experience of Flight planning systems
  • Ideally, experience in a similar role within a similar organisation, together with the ability to deal with complex operational issues
  • Excellent communication skills with a range of audiences
  • Experience of forming and maintaining working relationships across professional and operational boundaries
  • Good team player
  • Patience and ability to deal with challenges, whilst at the same time extracting the highest standards from your team
