Our Client develops and distributes innovative, high-value specialty pharmaceutical products. They are now seeking a
Supply Planner. This position is a full-time permanent role which will be office based in
Surrey.


Job Purpose

  • As part of the Global Supply Chain organisation the Supply Planner manages the product portfolio and the upstream supply chain from purchase forecasts to replenishment for the warehouses
  • The Supply Planner ensures excellent product availability and consequently customer satisfaction

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Manage stocks of product portfolio
  • Management of inbound logistics operations: shipments and receipts of components, semifinished or finished products released or in quarantine
  • Define the planning strategies at a "customersourcing unitSKU" level based on forecasts and replenishment strategy for the product portfolio (maketoorder vs maketoforecast)
  • Review of supply plans against customer forecasts and orders
  • Consolidate supply plans from all suppliers for the portfolio and share with the customer service teams
  • Organise regular Demand and Supply Reconciliation, identifying short, mid and longterm availability constraints or opportunities, highlighting these to the business
  • New products acquisition or launch projects
  • Ensure all master data is in place to help in demand and supply planning activities
  • Be aware of all Supply agreements and conditions of product portfolio
  • Active participation with the suppliers in steering committees to optimise supply chain strategies
  • Review and update cost of goods changes
  • Fulfil defined KPIs and reports on weekly and/or monthly basis for performance management
  • Involved in budget exercises through costs of goods reviews

Qualifications / Experience

  • BSc in Supply Chain or a related field
  • Some relevant experience in the Pharmaceutical industry is desirable including knowledge of GMP and GDP
  • Supply Chain, Inventory and Planning skills
  • SAP and other ERP knowledge
  • Microsoft Office solutions
  • Rigorous and results driven
  • Analytical, communication, networking and interpersonal skills
  • Innovative thought process and proposals skills
