The Role:


The Quality Control Officer will be responsible for quality control checks on all vehicles adapted for wheelchair access and driver adaptations ensuring they meet the required high standard that the Company expects.


Responsibilities

The Quality Control Officer will:

  • Drive H&S company requirements, promoting a safe working environment,
  • Work with the Production Planning team to ensure you have a clear understanding of workload,
  • Responsible for checking incoming vehicles meet the required standard,
  • Examine the product ensuring the production process has been followed and the finished vehicle conforms to the McElmeel standard,
  • Liaise with Production Manager to ensure all job cards maintain a consistent level of information,
  • Communicate with fitters and valet to ensure vehicles are moving in line with the production schedule,
  • Report bottlenecks and/or quality issues to the Production Manager,
  • Maintain all documentation for the purpose of auditing.
  • Demonstrate experience in a similar role,
  • 2+ years quality control experience in production or manufacturing,
  • Full driving licence,
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (inc Word and Excel), Office 365,
  • A thorough understanding of quality control principles.
