Two Full-time (36hrs/week) and bank-staff health care assistant positions in Peterlee.

Rates of pay:
£10.50/hr Overtime rate: £15.50/hr, bank holiday rate £27/hr

The positions are currently temporary to cover staff maternities, with possibility of becoming permanent.

We are looking to recruit new members to our small team, to work in a 24/7 Direct Payments healthcare package caring for a gentleman in his early 40s who is paralysed due to a spinal injury.

This is a 24/7 care package therefore applicants will need to be available to work both day and night shifts, Monday to Sunday.

We are looking for an applicant with a high degree of social skills to provide a positive and encouraging environment for the client, therefore the applicant needs to be enthusiastic, upbeat, caring, confident and friendly.

The job roll includes social and medical duties such as: (hygiene care, use of a hoist, colostomy care, catheter care, pressure area care, etc.

As well as very light household and laundry duties, accompanying / driving the client's vehicle to social activities may also be required.

Applicants need to be confident in learning these skills, however experience is not essential as training will be provided.

Being able to accompany the client whilst travelling abroad is a bonus but not a requirement, all expenses are covered.

A full driving licence is essential as driving the client's vehicle may be required.

Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced disclosure, any cost will be met by the employer.
