Job Title:
Quality Control Inspector
Reporting lines:
Reports to The Quality Manager
Principal Purpose of the Job Role:
Working as part of the Quality Department to support all areas of production to ensure that the Company Quality objectives are met by performing checks throughout the manufacture cycle to ensure the correct processes are followed in accordance with the Company's Quality Manual.
- Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Approves inprocess production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production.
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for rework; confirming rework.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; inputting data into quality database.
- Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Auditing processes where required.
- Completing Non-Conforming Reports with root cause analysis.
- To work closely with production personnel carrying out first off, final and random inspections using CMM and Mechanical inspection equipment:
- Provide training and guidance to inspect using best practice.
- To work closely with Production Manager to ensure priorities are met.
- Ensures calibration system is kept up to date.
Key Skills and Knowledge Requirements
- Proven experience as quality inspector or relevant role.
- A keen eye for detail and a resultsdriven approach.
- Responsible and trustworthy.
- Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems
- CMM, Vision machines.
- Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
£12.00-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
