Catering Assistant

Pay Range:
Local Government Pay Scale 2


Salary:
£10,583 - £10,774 (Point 3-4)


Hours: 22.5 hours per week (10:00am - 14:30pm),

38 working weeks (term time only) with a requirement to work 3 non pupil days

Start Date: 1st September 2023 or as soon as possible.

The Role
Applicants will need to be able to comply with health and safety and food hygiene rules.

Experience in this field would be beneficial, but is not essential as full training will be provided.


Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation and simple cooking of food & beverages.
  • Ensuring that tables and counters are as clean as reasonably practicable and adequately stocked during service times
  • Undertaking all aspects of cleaning equipment (light and heavy), walls (up to 6ft.) floors, fixtures and fittings, cooking utensils, cutlery, glassware etc. as directed.

We're looking for you if you have:

  • Experience of the preparation and cooking of simple food & beverages
  • Ability to maintain a high standard general cleanliness and hygiene to comply with statutory and school regulations
  • Ability to work effectively with other adults in the school
