Due to a recent vacancy, we are looking to appoint an Administration Assistant to join our enthusiastic and talented team here at Ferham Primary School.

You will be the front face of our fabulous school that has blossomed since joining the James Montgomery Academy Trust.

We are dedicated to providing the very best education for all our children and have high expectations for everyone in our school.

We are looking for:

A confident and positive person with experience working within a busy reception environment, who has good administration and positive interpersonal skills.

Previous school experience is desirable but is not essential.

Working alongside an experienced School Business Manager and Office Manager, you will play an important part in building strong relationships within our diverse school community.

Speaking additional languages would be an advantage but we also make good use of technology to support communication with some of our families.

If you think you are the right person to join our team and want to make a difference to the lives of the pupils who attend our school, we would love to hear from you.

We can offer you:

  • Children who love learning
  • Highly skilled and supportive colleagues
  • An inclusive ethos where every child is nurtured, challenged and valued
  • A strong CPD programme
  • A warm and friendly environment where we all aspire to be the best that we can be
  • A Trust that offers many opportunities for growth and development.

Visits to our school are strongly encouraged so that you can appreciate how far the school has come on its journey and how effective and friendly the staff team is.

We are very proud of our school and welcome the opportunity to share it with potential applicants.

To make an appointment for a visit, please contact school when it reopens on the 4th September on or to discuss the vacancy further please speak to Kerry Taylor School Business Manager.

Ferham Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and relevant safeguarding checks will be conducted in line with guidance and Keeping Children Safe in Education.

Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar a person from working in school. This will depend on the nature of the position and the circumstances and background of the offence(s).

Failure to declare a relevant conviction, caution or pending police action, will disqualify the applicant from appointment or result in summary dismissal if the discrepancy comes to light later.

If applicants would like to discuss whether a conviction held would debar them from working in the position applied for, they should telephone Human Resources on in confidence, for advice.
