Manchester Branch provides a variety of Personal Banking and Corporate Banking services to customers in the UK mainly in the region of North England, including deposit, loan and mortgage, remittance, bank card, clearing, currency exchange and corporate related banking services.

As an Associate Customer Due Diligence - Mandarin Speaking, you will be responsible to assist to ensure the standard of the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) within the Branch, report any issues being identified and propose action plans to rectify issues when possible.

You will provide overall support on Anti-Money Laundering (AML), counter terrorist financing, sanctions management, financial crime checks, and other general compliance and regulatory requirements.

This is a full time permanent position.


Key responsibilities

  • Assist to ensure that the standard of CDD in the Branch is meeting the Bank's policies and procedures requirements
  • Complete periodic reviews of existing personal and corporate clients in accordance with the Bank's policies and procedures within the required time frame
  • Conduct sanction screening, transaction monitoring, adverse media screening and PEPs checks
  • Prepare monthly MI
  • Take part in compliancerelated projects and ensure that tasks are completed in a timely fashion
  • Liaise with Financial Crime Team in Financial Crime & Compliance Department regarding any compliance issues in the Branch
  • Liaise with CDD teams in CFU Middle Office and Personal Banking Department when necessary
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders in the Bank to achieve the business target set up by Head Office
  • Ensure that all activities comply with compliance requirements as defined in the Bank's policies and procedures

Requirements:


  • Degree educated in Finance, Economics or Accounting
  • Relevant professional qualification
  • Experience within the Financial Services industry and proven track record in similar business stream
  • Customer service experience
  • Good knowledge of banking industry and processes
  • Knowledge of Retail Banking and Corporate Banking products
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Customer Due Diligence
  • Good MS Excel skills
  • Team player
  • Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills
  • Flexible in terms of working hours
