Principal DevOps Engineer

Tasks:

The Principal DevOps engineer heads the DevOps team and plays a key role in determining and providing the most suitable tools, infrastructure and build and release processes to support the development team
Working closely with developers and the Operations team, the Principal DevOps engineer will drive best practice techniques in Azure to ensure newly developed functionality is successfully brought from development into a released product, whilst maintainingeffective cost control
Having a keen eye for detail, the Principal DevOps engineer will proactively identify opportunities to improve current processes
Ensure that the solution technically complies with required security and regulatory conditions and will mentor and support more junior members of the DevOps team

Qualifications:

Computer Science/IT based degree required
Extensive DevOps experience required/ Azure experience essential
Significant understanding of Git, Azure Repositories and Pull Requests
Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for provisioning/changing Azure resources
Knowledge of c reating service connections to link ADO to Azure subscriptions /Service Fabric clusters
