Target Healthcare supply generic, branded and unlicensed medicines to pharmacies, doctors, hospitals, and buying groups throughout the UK and internationally.


Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a
Dispensing Assistant to ensure efficient and safe operation of Target Pharmacy.

As a Dispensing assistant, your repsonsibilities will include, although will not be limited to:

  • Dispenses prescription medication and other medical products to patients under the direction of the pharmacist.
  • Performs administrative duties such as processing prescriptions, answering the phone, taking payments, and restocking pharmacy.
  • Organises and maintains records of patient information in electronic format.
  • Assists with other administrative duties related to the sale and supply of medicines.
  • Prepares billing and shipping information for medications.
  • Takes stock checks of the pharmacy medications.
  • Liaises with healthcare professionals and patients regarding prescription information.
  • Observes and complies with company Health and Safety Policies and company standard operating procedures.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate:

  • Have completed or is undertaking dispensing assistant training.
  • Good literacy, written and numerical skills.
  • Detailoriented.
  • Strong customer services skills and excellent communications.
  • Follows instructions well.
  • Excellent memorisation skills.
  • Adaptive learner.

  • Report preparation.
  • Process and procedure driven.

This role is a part time, permanent position approximately 25 hours per week.
