Description

One of Cumbria's most well-established organisations are still experiencing extraordinary growth which has put them in a position to recruit a Management Accountant to join the team.


Reporting to the Finance Manager, the newly appointed Management Accountant will ideally be qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with previous experience working within Manufacturing and ideally have experience working in a Group Environment.


The overall responsibilities for the Management Accountant will be to be responsible for the production of the month end Group Consolidated Accounts and all its subsidiaries whilst preparing comprehensive, high quality schedules and working papers in supportof this.

Will identify, develop and implement reporting across the Group.


Duties will include:

  • Preparation of monthly accounts for all companies in the Group and prepare the Group consolidated accounts
  • Preparation of the Group and all its subsidiaries annual accounts for year end audit
  • Coordinates the Group audit and is first liaison point with the auditors on all day to day audit requirements and ensuring delivery in line with the agreed timetable.
  • Responsible for reconciliation of Group Intercompany accounts.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of the VAT reconciliation and is able to identify, rectify and provide sound VAT advise to other members of the Business as required.
  • Responsible for the completion and submission of the Irish VAT return, intrastate returns and associated tasks
  • Assists in the preparation of UK forecasts, budgets and plans as required by the Finance Manager/Financial Controller
  • Administers the development of monthly contribution reporting, providing advice and support to the Cost Accountant
