As part of our wider care team, you'll have a key role to play in the wellbeing of our residents.

Responsible for preparing appetising meals for our care home residents, you will have a passion for cooking and will want to deliver great menus that understand the challenges of catering for older people.

You'll be a valued member of a friendly, close-knit team, working closely with your care team colleagues to address the individual needs of our residents, to ensure that they are well cared for.


This is a demanding role for a cook, but you will have lots of support and quality training to make a success of it.

To be successful, you will be a capable, experienced cook with a cooking qualification.

In addition, you will be a caring person who knows the vital role mealtimes play in the lives of others.

Although previous experience in catering for older people in a care home or similar setting is beneficial, it is more important that you have an enthusiasm and commitment to good home cooked food.


You will work a rota over 7 days but that there are no split shifts and no regular evening work, working hours are mainly between 8.30 am and 5.00 pm.

Salary is pro rata of 38.50 hours per week
