We are looking for a Head of Public Transport Project Delivery to lead our Public Transport Project Delivery Team here at the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA).

As the Head of Department, you will ensure the effective delivery of SYMCA's Capital Programme and wider portfolio of projects, the provision of guidance, support in the development of public transport strategy and negotiations to secure funding for public transport interventions through legal agreements and planning conditions.

You will lead delivery of the Capital Programme, which will contribute to achieving the vision, aims and objectives set out in the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority group's Strategic Economic Plan, Renewal Action Plan, Transport Strategy and Energy Strategy.

We are looking for someone with exceptional leadership capabilities, someone who prides themselves on being a good leader and can shape the Public Transport Project Delivery Team and increase personal team brand and stakeholder engagement.

Ultimately the Head of Public Transport Project Delivery will coach and develop the team, support performance and have a strong business acumen.

Experience managing and overseeing complex projects and programmes is essential for this role.
