SNF is the world's leading polyacrylamide manufacturer, supplying a range of flocculants for the Industrial & Municipal wastewater treatment and Oilfield markets.


The Company is embarking on an aggressive growth period, to support that growth we are looking to appoint a Process Operator at our Production Facility in Billingham.


The Role:
-


You will be a member of a production team operating on an Upper Tier COMAH production facility, ensuring a safe and environmentally compliant operation at all times whilst meeting production targets.


The plant operates 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, Mon (am) to Sat (am) and you will work on a 12-hour x 3 shift pattern (40 hours per week).

This role will report into the Process Supervisor.


Key Responsibilities:
-


  • To operate all production plants and equipment within EHS requirements, ensuring safe working practices.
  • Monitor and inspect all key process parameters using the plant's Distributed Control System (DCS).
  • Carry out all necessary inprocess testing to ensure that the products meet all quality specifications.
  • Comply with all defined policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate process records, including shift handover.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or NVQ level 2 in Chemical Processes or equivalent (Essential).

Skills/Experience:
-


  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and equipment trouble shooting capability.
  • Ability to carry out basic autonomous maintenance.
  • Ability to pass and attain forklift truck certification.
  • Previous experience working with DCS systems (preferred).
  • Proficient IT skills, including experience of Microsoft Outlook.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and attention to detail is essential.
