SNF is the world's leading polyacrylamide manufacturer, supplying a range of flocculants for the Industrial & Municipal wastewater treatment and Oilfield markets.
The Company is embarking on an aggressive growth period, to support that growth we are looking to appoint a Process Operator at our Production Facility in Billingham.
The Role:
-
You will be a member of a production team operating on an Upper Tier COMAH production facility, ensuring a safe and environmentally compliant operation at all times whilst meeting production targets.
The plant operates 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, Mon (am) to Sat (am) and you will work on a 12-hour x 3 shift pattern (40 hours per week).
Key Responsibilities:

- To operate all production plants and equipment within EHS requirements, ensuring safe working practices.
- Monitor and inspect all key process parameters using the plant's Distributed Control System (DCS).
- Carry out all necessary inprocess testing to ensure that the products meet all quality specifications.
- Comply with all defined policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate process records, including shift handover.
Qualifications
- Diploma or NVQ level 2 in Chemical Processes or equivalent (Essential).
Skills/Experience:
-
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
- Good mechanical aptitude and equipment trouble shooting capability.
- Ability to carry out basic autonomous maintenance.
- Ability to pass and attain forklift truck certification.
- Previous experience working with DCS systems (preferred).
- Proficient IT skills, including experience of Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to work on own initiative and attention to detail is essential.
