SNF is the world's leading polyacrylamide manufacturer, supplying a range of flocculants for the Industrial & Municipal wastewater treatment and Oilfield markets.

The Company is embarking on an aggressive growth period, to support that growth we are looking to appoint a Process Operator at our Production Facility in Billingham.

The Role:
-

You will be a member of a production team operating on an Upper Tier COMAH production facility, ensuring a safe and environmentally compliant operation at all times whilst meeting production targets.

The plant operates 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, Mon (am) to Sat (am) and you will work on a 12-hour x 3 shift pattern (40 hours per week).

This role will report into the Process Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
-

To operate all production plants and equipment within EHS requirements, ensuring safe working practices.
Monitor and inspect all key process parameters using the plant's Distributed Control System (DCS).
Carry out all necessary inprocess testing to ensure that the products meet all quality specifications.
Comply with all defined policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate process records, including shift handover.

Qualifications

Diploma or NVQ level 2 in Chemical Processes or equivalent (Essential).

Skills/Experience:
-

Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
Good mechanical aptitude and equipment trouble shooting capability.
Ability to carry out basic autonomous maintenance.
Ability to pass and attain forklift truck certification.
Previous experience working with DCS systems (preferred).
Proficient IT skills, including experience of Microsoft Outlook.
Ability to work on own initiative and attention to detail is essential.
