Are you an experienced and passionate librarian looking for a new opportunity? Tradewind are working with a leading Academy in Watford to find a knowledgeable and dedicated librarian to join their team.

This is a great opportunity to join a school who believe in the importance of literacy and education, and clearly see the library as the hub of student learning and growth.

As a school librarian, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining a dynamic library environment that fosters reading, research, and exploration.

Key duties for this role include:

Managing and organising library collections, including cataloguing, shelving, and weeding as necessary.
Developing and delivering engaging library programs and events, such as book clubs, author visits, and library skills workshops.
Providing reference and research assistance to students and staff, helping them to access and utilise print and digital resources.
Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to integrate library resources and services into the curriculum and support student learning.
Library Experience either in a school or community basis ideally. Or equivalent experience / qualifications.
Demonstrated experience working in a school or public library, including library management, programming, and reference services.
A passion for reading and literacy, and a commitment to promoting these values among students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents.
