Field Service Engineer

Permanent

£37,000 - £40,000, 22 days' Holiday + Bank Holidays, Company Van, Fuel Card

Field Service Engineer

  • Attending customers sites to diagnose the reported faults to: Diagnosing the root cause of the reported fault, Identifying any parts required to carry out the repair so a return visit can be re scheduled, Completing accurate and timely repair, Completingthe specified documentation (RAMS, Job sheets etc. Carry out a post repair test / inspection on the unit to ensure the unit is operating to expected performance levels.
  • Keep the customer and your supervisor up to date on your estimated time of arrival following the receipt of the job instructions.
  • Ensuring you register your arrival on site and undertake any site inductions as per the customer's specific site requirements.
  • Complete a dynamic sitespecific risk assessment and method statement prior to commencing any work in line with company and site procedures.
  • Complete all works to plan as agreed with the customer and service office.
  • Complete all job specific documentation relating to standard service and warranty repairs to allow for swift internal processing.
  • Ensure you label and return all unused parts, standard service and warranty used parts for processing.

Field Service Engineer

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications:


  • NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent is a must have (you would not be permitted on site without it)
  • Experience of working with Heavy plant and machinery
  • H&S training carried out in PPE awareness, hand tools
  • Able to work under pressure and on own initiative without supervision
  • Selfmotivated and able to work to very high standards
  • Use of fieldbased diagnosis tools and equipment
  • Full driving licence
