Description

We are recruiting for a brilliant company based in Harlow who are seeking a part-time Accounts Assistant to join the team on a part-time basis - 4 days per week to begin with them as soon as possible.

Following a successful probation, the client offer hybrid working.

This is a varied, interesting role working within a friendly and positive team environment.


Duties will include:

  • Assist the PL Controller with daily duties covering input of invoice and expenses, obtaining authorisation and making payments
  • Weekly BACS payment runs and adhoc oneoff payments in GBP, EUR & USD.
  • Monthly third party distribution client payment runs.
  • Monthly VAT returns and quarterly VAT returns
  • Fixed Asset management: recording, depreciating and reconciling.
  • Month end journals and system reports.
  • Some miscellaneous sales ledger processing
  • Support Cash Manager with daily input of cash receipts and payments being made across three companies and numerous bank accounts in GBP, EUR & USD.
  • Liaising with credit control and royalties departments in respect of receipts/payments
  • Posting of daily transactions into accounting package, and reconciling of balances

Experience required:

  • Previous experience in a similar finance position
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work to deadlines (month end, etc.)
  • Good use of MS Excel, Word and Outlook

Salary up to 28k (pro-rata) DOE
