Our client is a UK leader in engineering who provide design and build services to the rail infrastructure and engineering sectors (mechanical handling, bulk storage, bridges, marine and ports, highways and transportation, utilities, and nuclear).

As a resultof their continuing success, they are looking to add a talented and highly motivated CAD Technician into their design team to deliver critical works for the business.

As a CAD Technician you will be responsible for delivering CAD designs from concept through to full detail.

You will provide support to peers and the wider business team in developing these business areas into new diverse projects across a range of sectorsincluding the bridges, moving structures, bulk material handling, energy and nuclear sectors.

Key Accountabilities:


  • Preparing detailed designs, from concept level through to full scope design.
  • Meeting with engineers, draftsmen, and designers to review blueprints and design drawings.
  • Inputting design specifications into the CAD software.
  • Creating surface and solid CAD models according to client specifications.
  • Working with a design team and individually on CAD projects.
  • Reviewing CAD models with the client and making minor adjustments.
  • Conducing final model rendering and delivering the final product.
  • Preparing and presenting design reports and presentations.
  • Delivering accurate design specifications / risk assessments / ITPs.
  • Attend site visits to witness new installations or to undertake surveys of existing structures
  • Preferably experience in Revit.
