A fantastic opportunity has arisen for aBand 3 Tobacco Dependency Advisor (TDA)within Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust.

The advisor will part of a small team working across the Trust, providing individualised smoking cessation support to inpatients.

Main duties of the role will providing tobacco dependency service within the Trust helping smokers to quit when they are admitted to hospital.

The primary role of the TDA is to hold conversations with inpatients who smoke, to facilitate smoking cessation.

This involves supporting patients to initiate and maintain a quit attempt through a personalised care plan, including advising on the use of nicotine replacement therapy.

The role involves keeping track of referrals using electronic patient records and contributing to data collection.

Close liaison with the community stop smoking service, and teamworking with a range of HHFT colleagues, also forms part of the role.
