This is an excellent opportunity to actively contribute to the development of next generation, data science capabilities for Non-Financial Risk types.


We're a small team with a broad responsibility for delivering analytics across the whole of CCOR and the areas that they provide oversight for.

Our purpose is to help locate suitable data for projects, analyse information to uncover insight and build solutionsto help colleagues deliver oversight opinions that use data and analytics.


Key accountabilities will include:


  • Supporting the progression of CCOR data led oversight through developing, interpreting and delivering insight utilising multiple data sources including both operational risk systems and customer data platforms (Teradata and SAS based), to identify andquantify customer themes.
  • Supporting the move to a more predictive analytics approach with the introduction of machine learning models in to CCOR Analytics.
  • Building and maintaining external and internal networks to identify industry standards, facilitate comprehensive risk reviews and ensure, legal, regulatory and professional compliance

What you can bring to the role...

  • A highly analytical approach to problem solving and the ability to learn quickly in areas that are not your areas of expertise, being confident to ask questions and challenge constructively.
  • Intellectually curious on how data can be used to help influence the decisions of senior stakeholders and a passion for helping lead a transition to a more Data Led approach.
  • Experience of using data, researching and interpreting multiple diverse sources of information.

And the Skills you would have...

Essential:

  • Model build experience using Python, SAS, R (or equivalent) as well as Machine Learning / Advanced Analytics experience.
  • Utilising tools including SAS/SQL to provide insight and analysis.
  • Experience of collaborating with business partners on analytical projects, defining requirements and building relationships.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of behavioural data analytics and data science, life event and pattern identification
  • Ability to independently translate your analysis into a coherent and compelling story
  • Practical Experience of visualization tools (i.e. Tableau/Power BI) would be advantageous
  • Some experience of Risk Management / frameworks would be helpful, however isn't essential
