Description

The Role


Executive Assistant with an active role in supporting a collegiate team of market-leading private client lawyers in their front-line delivery of high-quality legal services to clients.

In addition to secretarial / administrative assistant functions, the post-holder will take an active role in file management, document drafting for fee earners, and monitoring shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This position is fixed term for 6 months.


Key Responsibilities

  • Providing drafting support for fee earners, including deeds, inventories, HMRC forms, excel accounts, correspondence, letters of engagement and other onboarding documentation;
  • Active file management, both physical and electronic, including by monitoring fee earner inboxes and calendars, maintaining and updating governing documentation for key clients, conducting initial online Anti-Money Laundering searches to assist fee earners in their Customer Due Diligence for new / potential clients;
  • Taking and making Telephone calls to clients and third parties and then liaising with clients, to provide updates;
  • Scanning mail and saving to the matter as and when required. Collation of documents; and
  • Daily tasks as instructed so as to enable the smooth functioning of the team.

Experience and Skills Required

  • Strong written and oral communication skills; and
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Experience or Skills Preferred but Not Essential

  • Experience of working in the private client sector.
