We are currently looking for a College Services Officer to join their busy team in Trafford, Manchester.


The College Services Officer (CSO) is a critical member of the College team in the administration of the key aspects of the student life cycle.


The College Services Officer (CSO) is a critical member of the College team in the administration of the key aspects of the student life cycle.

The CSO will assist the Manager of Academic and Support Services in the implementation and delivery of effective student and college services including, student finance, student enrolment and registration, student orientation and airport transfers, student accommodation, welfare support (COMPASS programme), student representative training, student records and compliance.

The CSO will offer support to ensure the prompt payment of fees, commissions and student & sponsor debt. Liaison with students regarding setting up payment plans. Processing of student payments, refund requests, transfers and reconciliations. Ensuring that student records management system accurate reflects the financial status of all students.


Salary:
£23,000-£25,000 per annum


College Services Officer Duties:


  • Update and maintain compliance and accuracy of our student management system. (Navigate)
  • Update and maintain accuracy of our student data tracking sheets, highlighting any gaps or discrepancies.
  • Lead on regular compliance checks, ensuring that we have all required information from students and it is recorded accurately.
  • Administrate financial processes relating to student fee payments, monitoring and chasing
  • Administrate processes related to invoicing, royalties and commissions, scholarships and discounts.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of an effective and enjoyable enrolment and orientation process for students each semester
  • Assist in the provision of the Compass programme
  • Our student Pastoral, welfare and support Programme.
  • Be a key contact for Navitas requests for the college.
  • Support student academic appeal and complaints processes by collecting relevant documentation and arranging meetings as necessary
  • Develop and enhance our offer to students in terms of services that we offer eg. Airport Pickups, accommodation
  • Develop and maintain a broad understanding of the College's pathway provision to underpin student management decisions made as a College team
  • Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of UA92 and its degree schemes to provide basic advice to students
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times regarding college information and student files
  • Carry out duties as may be required by the Manager of Academic and Support Services
  • Support the administration of all College Committees and Boards inclusive of the production of timely and accurate minutes.

College Services Officer Requirements:


  • UG Degree or 2 years relevant work experience
  • Experience of working with data systems
  • Experience of working with and meeting the needs of varied stakeholders
  • Good understanding of the importance of file management (including electronic files)
  • Excellent verbal and written English language communication skills
  • Possess good data analysis and presentation skills
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Strong understanding of financial and account management processes
  • The ability to maintain information to a high standard of accuracy and completeness.
  • Have the ability to communicate with and collaborate with people from a diverse range of cultural, educational and professional backgrounds
  • The ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility, commitment to achieving challenging tasks and a strong team ethos
  • Good time management, with the ability to prioritise duties, and seek clarification and guidance from others when faced with competing responsibilities
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of equal opportunity, equity and workplace health and safety principles
  • Possess a "can do" attitude and demonstrate a commitment to selfimprovement

Desirable:


  • UG Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or similar
  • Experience of working in an International education or further/higher education setting
  • Customer service training
  • Project management qualification
  • The ability to use project management tools and techniques
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of the Home Office regulations
