Education and Experience:


  • Ph.
D. (or equivalent degree) in molecular biology, cell biology or biochemistry (preferably in the RNA field)

  • Extensive experience in developing assays to interrogate RNA biology, such as RNA folding and stability, RNAprotein interactions, and translation/transcriptional regulation
  • Versatile molecular biology experience including qPCR, mRNA _in vitro_ transcription, _in vitro_ translation, RNA FISH, RNA Scope, Western Blot, ELISA, IHC and other cellular and molecular assays
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture systems
  • Proven track record for solving complex scientific problems and delivering high quality results, as demonstrated through an excellent publication history, supported by evidence of major individual contributions
  • Very strong verbal and written communication and team working skills

Key responsibilities

  • Ability to design and execute complex experiments, including target identification, validation, and mechanistic investigation in diseaserelevant contexts.
  • Champion and leverage cutting edge molecular cell biology techniques and technologies for _in vitro_ disease modeling
  • Effectively distil complex, multidimensional data and results into concise concepts and clearly propose strategic and experimental actions
  • Proactively communicate and work highly effectively within and between teams
  • Collaborate extensively and work on shared projects with other scientific colleagues and crossfunctional teams, including others in the Biology Dept and beyond
