Applications are invited for the post of Fellow in Vascular surgery for a period of 12 months commencing 7th August 2024 in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.

The appointee(s) will be expected to perform at a level equivalent to that of ST3 or above. They will be supervised by a consultant.

The post is based in Ninewells Hospital and will involve exposure to elective and emergency vascular surgery.

The successful applicant will participate in full on-call duties for vascular surgery on, approximately, a one in eight frequency that includes weekends/nights (on call shifts are from 08:00-21:00hr).

In addition, the successful applicant will participate in out-patient clinics and elective theatres.


Education and Supervision - A clinical educational programme for the fellow will be established tailored to their individual requirements. Personal development plan and educational agreements will be documented. An assigned educational supervisor will be nominated. Outcomes will be recorded on ISCP. Further, opportunities exist for the successful applicant to take part in both research and quality improvement projects while working in the department. We would envisage the post holder to develop an area of interest.
