Job Title:
Fabricator/ Welder

Location:
Aldridge

Salary:
£12 per Hour depending on experience

Hours:
Mornings Monday to Thursday 6am to 3.30pm and Friday 6am to 1pm


Jobsworth Recruitment have an immediate opportunity available for a Fabricator/ Welder to join our client who specialises in the Safety Hatch industry based at their site in Aldridge.


Primary Responsibilities

  • To read and interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials and any other written instructions or procedures to accurately create equipment and products.
  • Use callipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and any other associated welding hand tools and equipment.
  • Maintain weld machines, using preventative maintenance methods.
  • Utilize and be able to use handheld power tools such as handheld drills, and grinders etc.
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
  • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
  • Rework and/or repair welded parts and products according to engineering specification changes.
  • Perform all work in accordance to with quality standards and established safety procedures.
  • Prioritize workflow through effective communication with management staff.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in line with management requirements.
  • Basic reading skills and must be able to follow directions.
  • Basic computer and utilization skills preferred.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
  • High attention to detail and selfmotivation skills.
  • Specific welding, fabrication training or certification preferred.
  • Work in a team environment and respect all team members.
  • Regularly lift large, heavy or awkward items.
  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
  • Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.
