About the role:

The Delivery Manager leads the delivery of product improvements, features, enhancements and maintenance to an agreed timeline and budget.

The role facilitates the elaboration of scope and solution design between the Product Owner, Lead Engineers and Architect,working to remove any impediments that are obstructing the team from achieving their delivery.

The Delivery Manager also works to advise the Product Owner about how to maximize ROI and focus on driving the team to be productive and promoting their successes with clear and articulate milestone tracking and reporting.

Day to Day you will:

Build, maintain and report against a published delivery plan.
Responsible for driving scrum method adoption to underpin the delivery of successful product development within TransUnion.
Identifying and remove impediments or conflicts that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver the sprint goals and key milestones
Coach and mentor team members on agile standards and best practices; ensure consistent best practices across the work streams
Ensure product owners maintain a clear and well refined product backlog
Maintain and report against relevant metrics to ensure the team and key stakeholders have insight into how the delivery is progressing (i.e. burn down and velocity, and financial run rate vs progress against milestones etc.)
Manages, directs, and coordinates one or more segments of the organisation's daytoday operations.
Manages the development and implementation of general operating policies, processes and procedures for the organisation and leads on projects.
Uses best practices and knowledge of internal and external business issues to improve products/services or processes.
Engages with key stakeholders to drive development and completion of projects, aligning with business strategy, Group policies and regulatory requirements.

Essential skills and experience:

Understands and can create and manage delivery plans
Embraces the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team
Understand fundamentals of iterative development
Strong understanding of software development life cycle processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/business
Understand backlog tracking, burn down metrics, velocity, and task definition
Familiarity with common Agile practices, serviceoriented environments, and development and testing practices
Ability to understand technical issues at a high level
Experience of audit and compliance within own function
Proven Scrum Master/PM
Experience of working in a Software Development environment in a medium to large company
Working in an agile team
