Business Analyst - Software Development

Your role will be to engage with stakeholders to understand and document requirements, processes, risks and objectives that allow for the delivery of a bespoke software product, and to work with the team to provide sizing/estimates for the work.

Duties and responsibilities of this Business Analyst role will be to:

  • Elicit customer requirements and business rules through stakeholder engagement
  • Document requirements into detailed user story format to be used for Agile development
  • Work with the team to provide estimates for effort as well as any dependencies.
  • Assist with driving Agile processes such as Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Scrum, Sprint Reviews and Sprint Retrospectives
  • Provide a link between the customer, development team and any thirdparty regarding software functionality
  • Conduct any necessary impact analysis on customers' requirements changes and on any environmental changes that can affect product delivery
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to assist in prioritising the backlog and delivering changes into the business

Skills and experience required for this Business Analyst role are:

  • Ideally at least 3 years' experience working as a BA in a software development environment
  • Experience working within an Agile framework and user stories
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps or a similar work management tool
  • Selfmotivated, result driven and business oriented
  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Able to demonstrate a track record of delivering successful software implementations
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to host and attend meetings with a variety of stakeholders from across the business
  • The ability to articulate business requirements clearly and effectively and present these requirements to a wide range of stakeholders from different levels within a business.

Salary - up to £45,000 DOE
