We are looking for an energetic, purpose driven and selfstarting Senior or Principal Consultant to join our growing Social Sustainability team. Our team is concerned with how transition to a low carbon future impacts society. We explore themes such as climate justice, just transition, economic restructuring, equity, social license to operate, social performance, social value and social investment.
We work across sectors including transport, finance, tech, renewable energy and government organisations. Examples of our diverse clients include World Bank, Google, DESNZ, Equinor, Capital Hydrogen, HS2 and Shell.
We are a UKbased team.

You can work from any of our UK ERM offices:
London, Bristol, Cardiff, York, Manchester, Edinburgh with flexibility for hybrid home working. Around half our project work is international, so there is potential for overseas travel.
Overall Job Purpose Leading impact assessments covering themes such as socioeconomics, population, health and wellbeing and equalities. Deliver programmes of stakeholder and community engagement. Lead and contribute to business development activities, through the development of proposals, client presentations, and technical marketing initiatives. Work with junior consultants to develop their competencies and skills. Managing and delivering small discrete projects and specific deliverables on larger projects. We are looking for someone with experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Experience of social and economic impact assessments.
Knowledge of UK planning and consenting regimes including EIA, TCPA and DCO. Experience and interest in stakeholder engagement, consultation and communications. Excellent report writing, analytical and interpersonal skills. Understanding of the "S" component of ESGs. Years of experience: Benefits
