    Job Description

    The Ansys Sales Development Representative plays a crucial role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities for Ansys. They are responsible for partnering with field sales and channel teams to cultivate leads, with the ultimate goal of delivering qualified opportunities to sales based on predetermined criteria.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supports lead qualification, routing, and administration at Ansys as required.
    • Develops new business and interest through targeted marketing efforts, including email and calling campaigns.
    • Fosters engagement with prospective customers by applying sales and technical expertise to qualify leads and pass them to the appropriate opportunity owner.
    • Collaborates across Marketing, Sales, Channel, and Product teams to achieve shared Sales targets.
    • Researches and identifies market opportunities through targeted engagement with prospect accounts.
    • Cultivates account intelligence, relationship maps, and use case opportunities through direct account engagement and insight tools.
    • Works closely with marketing teams to develop and execute marketing plans and campaigns.
    • Maintains data integrity and consistency in CRM by updating lead and contact information.
    • Provides regular reporting on lead aspects per territory.
    • Develops and implements process improvements for prospecting and qualifying leads.

    Requirements

    • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field with 0+ years of experience in inside sales, sales, or presales environments.
    • Technical aptitude and/or experience in industrial/technical sales environments.
    • Excellent customer service skills and a strong record of customer satisfaction.
    • Experience leveraging social media to engage with key decision makers.
    • Strong telephone etiquette and computer literacy skills.
    • Understanding of sales automation tools and the sales process.
    • Fluent verbal and written communication in English and the local language.
    • Travel: 5-25%.

    Preferred Qualifications and Skills

    • 0-1 year of experience in sales and/or customer relations environments.
    • Well-organized and self-directed team player with good time management and analytical skills.
    • Able to assess business opportunities and align them with sales targets.
    • Able to understand industry issues and apply software value statements to engage with prospective customers.
    • Ability to engage with prospective customers based on open probes and creation of value statements.
    • Prioritizes work activities efficiently and develops realistic action plans.
    • Understanding of Salesforce.com.
