An exciting opportunity is available to join North Lincolnshire Council's Public Health team as a Public Health Assistant.


The role is varied in nature and will provide the ideal opportunity to develop an understanding and experience of public health within the operational environment of the Substance Misuse, Wellbeing & Health Protection team.


The role will provide a range of supporting duties to the Public Health team to ensure the department can deliver across a range of projects and health improvement programmes across varying Public Health areas including Substance Misuse, Health Protection, Mental Wellbeing, Suicide Prevention, Healthy Weight, Tobacco Control.


You will support with administrative duties such as preparing documents for meetings, taking meeting minutes, and producing reports and presentations including researching information ensuring it is accurate and relevant.

The post has developmental opportunities and the successful applicant will be encouraged to undertake training and development activity including a level 6 Public Health Practitioner apprenticeship.


The post is suitable for someone who demonstrates a passion and interest in improving the health and wellbeing of North Lincolnshire residents, with a desire to engage with community groups to ensure the best outcomes for local health and wellbeing programmes.
