Description

Shropshire Domestic Abuse Service (SDAS) provides a range of excellent specialist domestic abuse support services including the community based outreach support team, the refuge and other safe accommodation for those fleeing domestic abuse, recovery groups and peer support.

You would be part of the outreach team.

You'll have experience in:

Working in a frontline service with individuals in crisis situations
Risk assessing
Safety Planning
Dealing with confidential information, and recording onto electronic system

You'll have these skills and attributes:

Demonstrating an understanding of domestic abuse issues across all diverse families
Excellent effective communication skills
Ability to successfully juggle conflicting priorities
Strong engagement skills; building relationship and networking opportunities with collaborative partnership agencies
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is open to women only. (Exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1)_
