We need your help The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics has over 90 Dietitians and support team members playing a vital role in patient care across the Trust.

This newly created role will provide administrative support to the 7 members of the leadership team releasing their time to support the specialist teams and develop the service.


We are looking for someone who enjoys a very varied job, balancing priorities and working as part of a team.

You will need to be well organised with excellent communication skills and a positive approach to change and challenges. If you enjoy being helpful and want flexible working please consider this role.

Main duties of the job


You will play a key role in facilitating the efficient running of the dietetic service through supporting the leadership team.

Working to deadlines in a fast paced, demanding environment whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

You will be involved in project management, collating reports, managing diaries, administering meetings, interacting with a range of systems to help manage staffing processes including recruitment, mandatory training, rostering, annual leave recording, sickness absence recording and processing of payroll forms.

We would welcome you undertaking any other tasks that you think would improve efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

Qualifications:

Essential criteria

Educated to A level or NVQ level 3 Customer Service/ Business Admin /ITQ or equivalent.

Typing qualification or equivalent experience.

  • Specific technical/professional qualification.
Desirable criteria

Secretary qualification or equivalent.

  • Team leader/management qualification.
Experience

Essential criteria

Experience of working in a busy clerical/office environment or reception service.

Secretarial and /or administrative experience including minute taking.

Prioritising, planning and organising own tasks.

Working within guidelines.

Experience of dealing with difficult situations and confrontations.

Data entry experience and documentation.

Experience of IT packages - Microsoft office.

  • Experience of producing documents to a high standard.
Desirable criteria

Previous experience of working in NHS.

Previous experience of working with medical records.

Knowledge
