Description

We are looking for a kitchen assistant to assist a hospital setting in Motherwell ML1 area.

The hours will vary from 8am till 730pm or 630am till 6pm.

The work will involve helping chef with cold foods and salads and general kitchen work such as pot wash, prep and cleaning etc.

This is agency work and a temp contract approx. 3 shifts per week so around 30 hours.

Paid week in hand on Fridays.
- £11.5ph week days (Mon to Fri)
- £13ph Saturdays
- £14ph Sundays

Duties:

Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the kitchen staff.
Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes.
Assist in receiving and storing food supplies and ingredients.
Follow proper food handling and safety procedures.
Help with inventory management and stock rotation.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a restaurant, hotel, or similar hospitality setting is preferred.
Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
