Hours: 2 hours per day, one week on one week off.

Shifts patterns as follows: 9.30am-10.30 am, pm and pm but some flexibility is required with these hours.

Possibility of extra hours within this team role, and to cover sick leave and holidays.

Rates of Pay:
£11.20 per hour

About the Job:

We are looking for a female Personal Assistant/Support Worker, for 2 hours per day week on week off, working as part of a small team assisting a lady in her own home in the Towyn area.

Tasks include personal care, food preparation and light household duties, plus occasional trips out and about, so car driver and owner desirable.

2 hours per day over 7 days per week to allow for full cover within the staff team, and then one week off.

Shifts as follows - 9.30am-10.30 am, pm and pm, flexibility is required for these hours for winter and summer. Possibility of further hours offered within team. 5.6 weeks holiday per year included in this employment.

Responsible to:
You will be directly responsible to your employer.


Main Tasks and Duties:
Morning visit

  • Prepare breakfast and hot drink
Lay out clothes for the day ahead

Assist with toileting

Assist with daily shower/body wash, and then assist to dry and dress

General light domestic duties, to include, but not limited to - making bed, cleaning bathroom, emptying bins, laundry, washing any pots used

Ensure fresh water is available

Medication prompt

Prepare a fresh cup of tea before leaving.

Tea time visit

  • Prepare a meal and drinks
Replace/fill water

Washing any pots used

Prompt for toilet

Ensure client is comfortable before leaving

Night time visit

  • Assist with personal hygiene needs
Assist into night clothes.

Pull back bed linen/helping into bed as requested.

Ensure fresh water is available

Prepare snack and hot drink

Fold clothes and put away

Ensure client is comfortable before leaving

Occasional trips out and about by prior arrangement

Any other duties not mentioned but that fall within the scope of this role which will be discussed and then mutually agreed

Undertake any further training, as mutually agreed

Establish a professional standard of care which should be maintained at all times.

Respect and safeguard the goods and property of the family.

Respect the privacy of the family and uphold confidentiality at all times.

Be trustworthy and kind.

Car owner and driver desirable

Be punctual, reliable and have some degree of flexibility, with a view to possibly undertaking overtime.

Be enthusiastic and be open to new experiences.

Bear in mind that the role is one of empowerment for the service user.
