This role could be based in the UK in the London office (with the opportunity to work from home on some days each week in line with Christian Aid's hybrid working approach) or homebased.

About the role
The role works strategically within the Trusts and Foundations team to maximise Christian Aid's income, with a focus on building high-impact high-value relationships with US, European and UK trusts and foundations through strategic partnerships.
The post holder will be responsible for seeking new opportunities as well as working with existing donors.
They will compile strong fundraising proposals through collaboration with global/regional/country teams; produce high quality reports; review complex budgets and financial reports with the support of finance colleagues; and develop strong working relationships with donors to deliver on six and seven figure gifts.
The post holder will be expected to work closely with colleagues and senior management across the organisation and represent the team within the wider organisation.
This role will focus on the management of one of the geographic focus areas, so we will be looking for someone with experience in fundraising from European and US trusts as well as UK trusts. Please note this focus could change throughout the period depending on need to include other geographical areas and/or line management.
Management of US, European, US and UK trust growth will require exceedingly strong relationship building skills and a good level of technical knowledge to attract and grow new business.
The post holder will be responsible for directing the strategy in a new growth area to secure new six and seven figure grants.
About you
You will have...
- Strong track record in securing sixfigure + gifts from trusts and foundations
- Strong track record in converting prospective givers into donors
- Strong networking ability to generate new leads
- Good knowledge and experience of designing quality proposals
- Experience of producing indepth, motivating and inspiring proposals and funding reports
- Experience in responding appropriately to the requirements and demands of funders, with the ability to handle and respond positively to pressure
- A proven ability to devise, implement and manage strategies and budgets
- A proven ability to monitor initiatives and evaluate findings systematically and methodically
- Ability to report findings to the organisation clearly and concisely
- Knowledge of the international charitable trust and foundations market, including trends
