Python Developer - City of London, United Kingdom - Red 10
Description
My client, a well-established Financial Services company is seeking Python Developer to join their team.You will be required to travel to the office once per week (This is also flexible). The role is a contract and will be Inside IR35.
The main experience required for this role are the following competencies/technologies: Cloud (AWS), Terraform, Python (Expertise), Quant/Mathematics and Financial Services (Ideally Investment or Asset Management)
Key Responsibilities
- Handson development
- Provide technical guidance to the Development team (UK, India)
- Provide input into project timelines, estimation and roadmap
- Ensure timely completion of work packages in line with project deadline and schedule
- Supporting the overall delivery of the projects
Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong mathematical ability
- Python Application Development (Pandas, NumPy, Conda)
- Demonstrable ability to design and deliver complex system at scale
- Sound understanding of objectoriented design principles
- Investment Management experience
- Exposure to cloud technologies (Cloud Foundry, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes) & Cloud Native development patterns
- Microservice development
- 2:1 or higher in mathematics, quantitative finance or scientific/engineering discipline.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of Equities/FI/MA
- Understanding of the trade lifecycle
- Exposure to front end frameworks (Angular preferred)
- Exposure to relational databases (Oracle) and/or NoSQL
- Demonstrate flexibility with evolving technical stacks
