As a Senior Care Coordinator for Right at Home Borehamwood, you will play an integral part in managing the daily communications and care scheduling of our site.

You must be extremely personable as you will be working with the entire team to make sure all our valued Clients needs are met.

This role is extremely fast paced and requires someone truly dedicated and able to remain positive and professional when working under pressure.

We cover Borehamwood, Elstree, Radlett, Bushey, Shenley & Watford therefore local area knowledge is highly desirable.


Main duties and responsibilities:


  • To be accountable to the Registered Manager for the smooth running of daytoday Client/ Care Assistant communication
  • To provide leadership, support and guidance to the Care Coordinating team.
  • Ensure outstanding compliance across the business and to support the business in achieving a minimum of Outstanding.
  • To ensure the scheduling is carried out efficiently enabling the Care Assistants to spend the allocated care time with each Client and to allow for travel time
  • Building relationships with the residents and families and other healthcare professionals to ensure we deliver personalised care.
  • To ensure regular face to face meetings and phone calls are maintained based on set and agreed KPI's.
  • To consistently and efficiently carry out regular supervision and appraisal of your Care Coordinating team
  • To maintain robust records of all communication via phone, face to face or WhatsApp at all times.
  • Ensure any changes to Client or Care Assistant needs and availability, is communicated by your team to all relevant parties quickly and effectively. Ensure all changes are actioned and recorded in the appropriate places.
  • To answer the telephone promptly and professionally, dealing with any enquiries or queries
  • Ensure enquiries are recorded promptly and accurately with sufficient details and actioned accordingly
  • Ensure complaints and Care Assistant feedback and enquiries are logged promptly and accurately using the correct procedure.
  • Continually review, improve and follow agreed processes to ensure the most effective and efficient service is being delivered
  • Ensure the provision of highquality care services to vulnerable people living in their own home
  • Work closely with management to highlight recruitment needs to allow for consistent, safe delivery of care and to mentor the carecoordinators team to maintain high levels of communication with the recruiter, ensuring a continual pipeline of carers are being recruited based on their needs.
  • Effectively manage Care Assistant expectations by maintaining clear lines of communication at all times and building a strong and positive working relationship.
  • To ensure all new Care Assistants and Clients are recorded on the system promptly and accurately
  • Report weekly on recruitment needs, gaps in rotas, risks, Care Assistant availability and concerns to Registered Manager and Owner
  • To ensure that Care Assistants match the most suitable for each package by carrying out regular Client and Care Assistant spot checks
  • To check and approve consistent, fortnightly rosters and provide Care Assistant and Clients with rotas in a timely manner
  • Accurately monitor and record Care Assistant holiday, sickness and absences.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience as a Senior Care Coordinator or Care Coordinator in a homecare setting

  • Full UK or EU driving licence

  • Relevant qualification, such as Business Studies or Social Care
