Following a period of growth, we are looking for a Payroll administrator and book-keeper with a minimum of 3 years experience to join our friendly team in Clanfield.
The role is diverse - our clients come from a wide range of industries and include chimney sweeps, organ tuners, mechanics, builders and professional service companies.
Working as part of a team, we are looking for someone who can quickly take on their own portfolio of clients, from reconciling the bank accounts and submitting the VAT returns.
After an initial handover period, you would be expected to manage the customer relationship and any requirements they might have, therefore you must be able to work as part of a team, but also have the skills and confidence to work alone.
Responsibilities and Duties
Key duties would include:
- Payroll processing weekly and monthly payrolls
- Payroll reconciliations
- Bank and Credit card reconciliation
- Submitting VAT
- Credit Control
- Managing supplier payments
- Working with incomplete records
- Posting Journals
- Preparing management accounts
Qualifications and Skills
Practice or multi industry experience
Experience using Xero & QuickBooks on line
AAT Level 4 or higher (or equivalent)
Excellent customer services skills
Experience:
- bookkeeping: 3 years (preferred)
- Payroll: 3 years (preferred)
- Xero &
QBO:
1 year (preferred)
Hours:
20 hours per week to be split across 3-4 days - to include Thurs & Friday as necessary to process payrolls.
Once handover is complete there is scope for some work from home. At least 1 day a week in the office to attend team meetings and training. Laptop and additional screen will be provided to facilitate homeworking.
This is not a term time only position but hours can be worked during the school day in term time.
