Senior Procurement and Contract Manager - London - Contract


ARM is actively recruiting for a Senior Procurement and Contract Manager to work for a client based in London on a contract basis - 6 months.

The position offers hybrid working.


The Senior Procurement and Contract Manager will be involved in managing procurement and contract activities of varying complexity to achieve best value in support of the departments wider objective of standardisation, aggregation and collaboration.


Responsibilities:


  • To liaise with suppliers and customers to assist in the management of key supplier accounts to ensure the efficient management of orders. Where necessary, to assist junior members of staff with resolution of delivery and order queries, including the verificationof invoice values against orders, and the rectification of discrepancies in accordance with good procurement practice and procedures regulating the payment of invoices.
  • To review existing contractual arrangements for the provision of services to improve service delivery and overall value for money.
  • To consult with Lead Client Officers to identify service requirements and establish whether existing contractual arrangements meet these.
  • To prepare a business case where the introduction of new service requirements is required and to carry out market and supplier research, to assist in determining appropriate procurement strategies.

Requirements:


  • Experience of drafting commercial/tender documents for a range of goods and services.
  • Experience of contract management including the preparation, monitoring and control of revenue and capital budgets.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff at all levels and with representatives of external organisation.
  • Good organisational skills to identify and address changing and conflicting priorities whilst meeting deadlines, the ability to act on own initiative in a diversity of situations and the ability to work flexibly as part of a small team
  • An understanding of the range of different commercial and contract documentation.
