REED Engineering are working with an exciting company who are looking for an Electrical Equipment Technician to join their team.

The Electrical Equipment Technician is a crucial role within the RF Power Division and equipment team.


The role will involve ensuring RF Power equipment are maintained and repaired to a high quality to ensure safe operation and minimise production down time.

This role will be responsible for supporting the RF power functions, product teams, engineering supportproviding independent assurance and governance.

  • Identify needs for preventative maintenance and implement.
  • Carry out regular scheduled safety inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Carry out reactive breakdown maintenance.
  • Mechanical fabrication of components for equipment repairs.

Required Skills:


  • Basic Electrical/electronic fault finding
  • Single & Three phase electrical understanding
  • Basic Fault finding of mechanical systems.
Desired Skills

  • Technical/engineering/craftsperson apprenticeship or BTEC/NVQ L3 or higher
  • Understanding of temperature PID control systems (Eurotherm)
  • Understanding of RF systems.
  • Knowledge and/or training in PLC fault finding or programming (Mitsubishi).
This is long term temporary position.
