We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as a Business Resilience Partner to join our Business Resilience team in Group Operations.

The role


This role is responsible for supporting the Head of Business Resilience in supporting our international business manage Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Management as per the Group policy and frameworks.

This role requires an experienced individual accountable for building relationships in the international business ensuring their capabilities are robust, effective and aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practice.


Main Responsibilities

  • Provide expert consultancy, at a multidisciplinary or deep specialist level to ensure the business area can achieve the business resilience goals
  • Review and challenge the Important Business Services Mapping, Business Impact Assessments and Business Continuity Plans to ensure they meet the standards set by Phoenix and best practice
  • Creation of an annual business level test plan, delivering testing according to plan and reporting of outputs
  • Manage bronze level incidents ensuring they remain within risk appetite of the business resilience policy
  • Identify, manage, mitigate and report resilience risks
  • Support the management of change through engagement activity, ensuring resilience requirements are delivered through, strong stakeholder management and effective communication
  • Use data, metrics and other information to develop insight to identify opportunities for improvement and develop proposals that bring about positive change, reinforcing and underpinning resilience objectives
  • Ensure key data is maintained and accurate to assess resilience risks
  • Use technical knowledge, skills and experience to influence stakeholders and leadership teams in line with the resilience strategy, governing policies, legislation and appropriate regulation.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in working in operational resilience, business continuity and incident management
  • An excellent understanding of operational resilience regulatory expectations
  • Good knowledge of risk management and controls in financial services
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written & presentation)
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work to multiple deadlines.
