Description
I am currently recruiting for a Contract Manager to work at a leading local authority based in Barnsley.
- You will be responsible for helping to deliver the new Be Even Better Strategy.
- You'll be helping to lead and enforce the performance management of strategic contracts to ensure high standards of service are delivered by the supply partners.
- You will work in a varied and rewarding environment with a range of stakeholders ensuring that the service and business unit achieves the key priorities set out in its corporate plan and delivers the core strategies adopted by the organisation.
- Reporting to the Strategic Contracts & Governance Manager you will be responsible for managing the performance of strategic suppliers with a focus on continuous improvement to ensure best practice contract management is embedded.
- The role will predominantly focus on managing the Building Schools for the Future contracts and you will develop close, effective relationships with supply partners and schools.
- You will also support the delivery of projects to ensure schools continue to provide the appropriate environment for delivering education and organisation strategies.
Skills and experience required:
- You will have experience of contract management, preferably with a knowledge of facilities management and/or private finance initiative arrangements but this is not essential.
- You will be an enthusiastic and professional who has excellent commercial, analytical, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- You will have a passion for best practice and demonstrable experience of managing performance to achieve core priorities and outcomes, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
- You will be well informed of and be able to implement changing local and national policy issues and build strong and productive relationships with customers and stakeholders including Executive Directors, Members, and external partners.
- You will be the type of person who thrives on a challenge and can use your skills to make improvements that really make a difference.
There is an attractive salary of between £42,503 - £45,495 and the role will be hybrid / agile with a minimum of 3 days office based.
