About Our Client:


A highly reputable supplier within the construction industry is seeking a pro-active and passionate Accounts Assistant to join the team on a full time permanent basis.

The company provides innovative and bespoke building solutions for businesses within the retail, hospitality, manufacturing, public and engineering sectors to name a few.


  • Liaise with rteam managers to colate timesheets and hours to process weekly payroll, ensuring all absenses are inputted into system accurately
  • Ensure staff mileage is recorded accurately including private usage to p[rocess staff expense claims
  • Responsible for keeping track of purchase invoices and authorised credits for the business
  • Ensuring GRNs and purchase orders match and report any discrepancies where needed
  • Reconciliations of supplier accounts and statements ensuing any missing invoices are requested from the supplier
  • Reconciling bank account and sending supplier remittances
  • Maintain good organisation of the departments archives
  • Maintain credit card expenses for the business and post to the internal system
  • Keeping supplier payment schedule up to date. Assisting in the preparation of weekly payment run
  • Provide support to customers regarding rebates and payment queries
  • General administration support where required

The Successful Applicant:


  • Strong knowledge and proven ability to use Excel and Microsoft 36
  • Be a motivated individual with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Hold an AAT qualification (minimum level 1 qualification required)
  • Have previous hands on experience within an accounts role
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ideally you will have purchase ledger knowledge or experience
