A Head Chef is sought for The Drumming Snipe, Mayford, Woking.

We are seeking an incredible Head Chef to lead the kitchen at The Drumming Snipe.

  • All applicants with relevant Senior Chef experience are welcome.
  • All applicants must have a valid right to work in the UK.
*Salary: - £40,000 to £50,000 per year, depending on experience, based on a 48-hour week over 5 days.

*The Role: - This is a 6 Chef brigade serving great British cuisine, focused on quality ingredients.

  • Working in a newly fitted kitchen (2020), managing the quality of food, brigade and the kitchen logistics.
  • Our menu offers accessible British pub classics and adventurous dishes for more curious diners.
Serving 80 to 200 guests per day.

  • Our menu follows an British seasonal structure alongside a strong focus on nose to tail cooking.
  • The kitchen team is responsible for the preparation of all menu items in house, including butchery of whole carcasses sourced direct from the best rare breed, sustainable farmers in the country.
*Experience: - This position requires an experienced head chef who is confident in all aspects of cookery and has a passion for delivering exceptional standards, consistently, whilst mentoring a junior team with patience, passion and professionalism.

  • Our head chefs are responsible for all ordering, food stock, staff rotas, team development and collaborating on menu changes.
  • The head chef will work closely with site GM to achieve best output of the business and collaborate on achieving customer and colleague satisfaction.
*Goals: - We are aiming to achieve a consistent 1 AA Rosette standard, our new head chef should have experience at or above this level.
