Location:
Hull (HU6 7PH) - Role is a permanent full time position Monday-Friday based at the Hull site. Ocassional out of hours support will be required.

We are looking to appoint a Maintenance Team Leader based at our Hull plant.

The Maintenance Team Leader will lead and empower a team of Mechanical Maintenance Technicians (Days and Shifts) as well as covering a team of EC&I Technicians when required.

The role will safely and proactively maximise plant reliability by deploying Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) techniques.

The position holder will closely collaborate with the broader Maintenance function, Technical and Plant Operational colleagues.
Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure the safe and effective execution of routine maintenance activities for the Hull site via the Day and Shift Technician group embedding a strong safety culture at all times
  • Ensure detailed and effective job plans in conjunction with the Maintenance Planning team
  • Review work packs to ensure completeness and compliance with Cargill standards and procedures prior to work commencing and the correct permits to work are in place
  • Support with Reliability Centred Maintenance and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to determine Root causes of failure and provide strategies to prevent repetitive asset failure to improve reliability
  • Ensure completed work information is accurately captured in the Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring performance and disciplinary actions for a team of Mechanical Technicians and EC&I when required
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Which may include hands on Maintenance Execution when needed to support the team

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • A technical Mechanical Engineering related qualification (NVQ/ HNC/HND) and demonstrated relevant hands on Maintenance experience
  • Able to work safely and embed a strong safety culture
  • Understanding of predictive/ preventative maintenance technologies
  • Experience working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as SAP/ Maximo
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience from a processing background (e.g. Chemicals, Biofuels, Food/Feed Ingredients)
  • Experience of leading and mentoring a team
